About the OpportunityAs an EL1 Assistant Director Policy, you will be leading a team that contributes to the shaping of policy as well as designing and implementing work that contributes to an ongoing agency reform. You will engage in problem solving and issues management while exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce policy advice. This work ultimately assists in undertaking engagement and co-design activities with stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead policy development, strategies, and reform projects related to system navigation, support coordination, and home and living supports.Engage with stakeholders to co-design initiatives, deliver engagement activities, and shape markets for disability supports.Provide policy leadership to a team, manage relationships, and foster a positive team culture.Use data and evidence to inform decision-making and develop high-quality policy documents.Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with relevant experience in the disability sector preferred.RequirementsAustralian CitizenshipStrong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillsSuperior communication and stakeholder management skillsCollaborative approach, working well in teams and with limited directionPolicy and team leadership experienceExperience developing and interpreting policy, analysing data and information, preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence.Interested?
