The Ministerial, International & Stakeholder Relations Branch includes the Ministerial & Parliamentary Support Section, the International & Stakeholder Relations Section and the Information Access Unit. The Branch coordinates, supports and provides quality assurance services for the Minister, the Commissions, international, jurisdictional and individual stakeholders and senior executive committees, as well as Freedom of Information and other administrative access requests.

Our ideal candidates will have an eye for detail and can draw on knowledge and information from a range of sources to resolve complex issues. They are process driven and outcomes focussed, and can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing priorities, and have a demonstrated ability to exercise their judgement when required. The ideal candidates will also be able to demonstrate strong liaison and stakeholder management skills used to build and maintain productive working relationships within teams, departments and across other agencies.
We are looking for people who have experience or a genuine interest in either Parliamentary/Cabinet processes and procedures or Secretariat Support and can demonstrate a strategic understanding of the importance of these roles in supporting DVA to support veterans and their families.
A sound working knowledge of PDMS and/or CabNet+ will be an asset, as will be the ability to obtain and maintain a NV 1 clearance level if required.

Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to18 months.
A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
