Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) – Canberra ACT
Reporting to the Director, Customer Management and Financial Modelling, you will use your management accounting / finance / cost modelling skills and experience to support the ICT charging framework and cost model, and invoicing of our clients.
You will use your analytical skills to interpret the ICT costing and charging data and provide advice on the maintenance of the cost and charge models and improvement/uplift opportunities.
Responsible for supervising members of a small team working across the section, this is an opportunity for you to build on your existing leadership skills, while deepening your skills in the sought-after area of IT Financial Management, including Cloud cost management.
Note: This position is available on an ongoing basis.
Future positions may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis for up to 12 months initially.
The key duties of the position include: We are seeking a curious and motivated financial analyst with an interest in technology, who is keen to develop their skills in the area of IT Financial Management.
As a member of the Customer Management and Financial Modelling team, you will play a key role in:
Managing the Division's Cost Model and Charging Framework for the IT services we provide to government agencies,Leading the monthly cost recovery process, incorporating data collection, analysis and upload, and the production of reporting for our customer agencies,Liaising with our customer agencies, and internal service teams, to resolve discrepancies relating to usage or charges.In addition to these key functions, the section is also responsible for:
Managing Memoranda of Understanding and Letters of Agreement with TSD's customer agencies,Managing and maintaining the department's Catalogue of corporate/ICT services,Overseeing communication planning, messaging and channel management for TSD services,Acting as the first point of contact for our customer agencies, including addressing queries or escalations received regarding the services provided.Eligibility Please note, under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing.
This is a designated security assessed position.
The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
This selection process may be used to establish a merit pool.
The pool might be accessed to fill ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies for similar roles in the Department over the next 18 months.
