As an EL1 Assistant Director, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the division's operations and contributing to its success.Your new roleAs an EL1 Assistant Director in the Divisional Support Unit, you may manage up to 2 staff members. Additionally, your duties will include but are not limited to:Lead projects and work that contributes to the working environment or operations of the division.Provide divisional support for ANAO performance audit processes.Lead or contribute to organising division events and activities such as preparation for senate estimates, budget, divisional planning days, divisional stand-ups and other activities as required.Provide advice to the division on recruitment and internal transfers, procurement, corporate processes and other requests from staff.Oversee division coordination of ministerial correspondence in a timely way.Provide mentoring and support to the broader executive support staff within the division to build capability and further enhance support to the executive.Work with the EO to contribute to a collaborative culture, mindset of continuous improvement and high performance that supports the Head of Division, Branch Heads, executive support staff and broader division.Undertake other tasks as directed.What you'll need to succeedThis role requires prior experience within the APS.
