The Scheme Digital Platforms (SDP) Branch shapes and delivers innovative, responsive, sustainable, and practicable solutions for the National Disability Insurance Scheme to serve its stakeholders including participants, providers, staff, and partners.
The Scheme Digital Platforms Branch drives continual service delivery improvements to meet stakeholders' evolving needs with a strong focus on accessibility. The branch is the designer and custodian of the state-of-the-art NDIA Salesforce Platform.

You have experience supervising and mentoring a team, providing direction, delegating responsibilities, managing performance, and supporting personal development. Our ideal candidate has extensive experience in establishing and overseeing Salesforce Technology strategy and governance across complex transformation programs with large organisations. A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management is highly desirable.
EL1 Assistant Director Experience Design Team
Our ideal candidate has proven experience in leading a team of UX/UI Researchers & Designers and Accessibility Specialists and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary project management, change management, and ICT governance frameworks and methodologies.

The key duties of the position include:EL1 Assistant Director Solution Design Team
The EL1 Assistant Director Solution Design Team will be responsible for managing a team of Business Architects, Salesforce Solution Leads, and Functional Consultants, establishing a positive team environment and being a champion for continuous improvement.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to:
Supporting the overall team strategy and planning, and working collaboratively with Program Director, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and Technical Leads to plan and deliver solution design in line with projects sprint plan.Establishing a collaborative working culture and environment within the OCIO project teams, relevant business teams, and other third-party vendors as required.Managing and optimising the flow of value using various tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.Inputting into Portfolio Kanban and assessing solution health via its metrics.Investigating issues raised to the team, providing executive summaries and status updates of issues, and working closely with the Director to find the most effective solutions. The EL1 Assistant Director Experience Design Team will be responsible for managing a team of UX/UI Researchers and Designers, and Accessibility Specialists, providing supervision and mentoring regarding UI/UX, Accessibility and related activities.You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to: Supporting the overall team strategy and planning, and working collaboratively with Program Director, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and Technical Leads to plan and deliver solution design in line with projects sprint plan.Providing guidance, solution capabilities and constraints available for the implementation of technology solutions, including Cloud (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, API's and integration, Data, Web and Mobile).Defining the detailed UI/UX requirements that precipitate changes for processes, systems, people and information.Achieving agreement and the formal sign off on requirements by stakeholders and governance groups as required.Constructing documentation that supports the UI/UX requirements definition such as requirements specifications, process maps, service design artefacts, functional and non-functional requirements, change management implications, data and reporting considerations.Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
NotesWhile this role is ideally performed from Deakin - ACT, Surry Hills - NSW, Darwin - NT, Brisbane - QLD, Adelaide - SA, Hobart - TAS, Geelong - VIC, Richmond - VIC or Perth - WA, remote working arrangements may be considered.
We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
