We manage industry and public facing digital systems, deliver desktop services to over 2,200 staff, support over 30 office locations across Australia and oversee the department's cyber security capability.We are seeking highly motivated, innovative and driven people to join our team to fill the roles as a Business Application Developer / Platform Manager. Successful candidates will be senior members of a small team managing maintenance, development, sustainment and support of a wide range of business applications and platforms.The key duties of the position include:What will you do?You will work closely with other teams within the Department to deliver technological advice and solutions covering the entire portfolio of corporate applications to deliver high quality IT services for the Department.Key responsibilities will include:Provide technical leadership and advice to colleagues and Senior ExecutiveManage demand and prioritise workloads in consultation with the Director of ICT OperationsWork closely with the department's IT Security team to ensure that the department is not exposed to unacceptable IT security riskFocus on continuous improvement for the department's IT systems, procedures and practicesIn this role you will be supported to further develop your skills and help shape the roadmap for application development, delivery and support.Who are we looking for?The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate their capability against the Executive Level 1 Work level standards.We are looking for self-motivated, experienced IT professionals with extensive knowledge and experience across a wide range of enterprise IT systems and technology. Ideal candidates will be technical leaders that can work autonomously managing bespoke applications within an enterprise environment, passionate about contemporary technology and working with end users to support operational applications.Successful candidates will also be solutions focused, proactive, flexible and agile.
