EL1 Assistant Director Business Analyst Lead, CanberraAbout the role
The Assistant Director Business Analyst Team is responsible for providing strategic business analysis advice and support to the NCIS Program Manager to ensure successful delivery of the National Criminal Intelligence System (NCIS) Program strategic outcomes.
You will work with and lead Business Analysts to ensure an accurate understanding of the current state and desirable future state of simple through to complex business and technical problems.
You will write proposals and justifications for various options and approaches.
You will work to ensure consistency and quality of work for Business Analysts who write epics, help to prioritise features, and write functional requirements and acceptance criteria for the features prioritised from product backlogs.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Senior Delivery Managers, Business Users, Service Designers, Solution Architects and Designers, Team Leaders, Scrum Masters, Developers, Testers, as well as communications and change management staff.
You will report on your work and the work of others.
You will identify and manage issues that block progress of analysis work.
You will work independently under broad direction, plan and lead analysis work, guide the day-to-day work of Business Analysts, and mentor and coach less experienced staff as needed.
You will advise management on matters relating to business analysis.
