Job Overview: We are seeking a QA Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. The resource should have extensive experience in projects related to Trading, Finance/Banking, supply chain management, and logistics with web-based applications. Experience working on cloud-based technology is an added advantage. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes, including functional testing, automated testing, and bug tracking. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure that our software products are of the highest quality.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). BE / B.Tech / MCA Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications across various platforms. Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar. Test Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and design detailed test plans and cases. Bug Reporting & Tracking: Identify, document, and report software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure existing features continue to function as expected after new releases or fixes. Integration/API/UI testing: Hands-on experience with Postman and UI third-party testing tools. API responses and data validations. Calculation and situation-based scenarios and test cases: Ability to solve and provide scenarios based on situation or real-time examples. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies to optimize QA efforts and reduce product defects. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality products. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, plans, and reports. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a software development environment. Manual Testing: Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including functional, UI/UX, and integration testing. Automation Tools: Experience with test automation tools like Selenium. Bug Tracking Tools: Familiarity with Jira, Bugzilla, or other bug-tracking software. Version Control Systems: Knowledge of Git or other version control systems. SQL: Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for data validation and query testing. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and inconsistencies in software. Challenges Faced: Ability to demonstrate the challenges they have faced during deliveries/risk management/stakeholder management. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand complex issues and break them down into manageable tasks. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to clearly document and communicate issues and test results. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) is a plus. Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
