Your future role:
Alstom have a permanent opening for an EHS & Rail Safety Coordinator to join our EHS team based at our Dandenong site operations in VIC. Reporting to the EHS & Rail Safety Manager, you will be accountable for assisting in the management of business environment, health and rail safety risks and engaging with the workforce and fostering a high-performance rail safety culture. With your proven experience, you will perform a critical role in sustaining the Australian Transport business's EHS performance by implementing and maintaining initiatives, codes of practice, policies and risk management strategies.
We'll look to you for: Deploying and maintaining procedures and tools in line with Transport and EHS Management System.Ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and that the appropriate measures to control risks are defined.Maintaining appropriate records and documentation of the site while monitoring compliance.Implementing and delivering training plans and programs.Ensuring that the Safety Management System is well maintained and in line with required standards.Reviewing and testing the various emergency plans and delivery of Safety induction training.Preventing accidents/incidents and if occurring writing thorough reports, recording the incident, ensuring this has been investigated and analysed.Participating in the Alstom audits and accreditation programs.All about you: Certificate IV or Diploma in health and safety.Proven experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of risk management tools.Rail, manufacturing or heavy industrial project experience in a field based health and safety role, with sound knowledge of local legal requirements.Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the operations.Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules and procedures.Things you'll enjoy:
