About The Role The Senior Product Manager - iRate is responsible for the ongoing development and advancement of the iRate platform, including its pricing strategy, to ensure that it maintains its market leading position in the Australian financial services sector.The primary objective of this role is to grow the subscription based revenue generated from iRate by working closely with the key stakeholders and facilitating the needs of the Lonsec retail and institutional customer base who are utilising the iRate platform.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position, set to begin in January 2025 and conclude in January 2026 and can be based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.
Responsibilities: Strategic Responsibilities: Develop a strategic roadmap for the iRate platform, focusing on key projects, growth areas, and competitor analysis in collaboration with Sales and Support teams.
Create business cases for funding and resource requests for new iRate initiatives.
Ensure the iRate platform continues to meet customer needs and proactively enhance capabilities to evolve the platform.
Oversee key development initiatives and establish a pricing strategy for iRate to ensure appropriate subscription fees.
Identify new business and cross-selling opportunities within the iRate platform.
Administration: Support the client services and Sales teams with client queries and technical issues related to iRate.
Collaborate with the Data Services team to maintain accurate and licensed data with the iRate application.
Drive the launch and promotion of new product enhancements and marketing activities in conjunction with the Marketing team.
Training: Develop a training strategy for iRate users in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.
Contribute to the creation of training modules.
Continuous Improvement: Explore new growth and revenue opportunities for iRate.
Manage iRate related projects by scoping requirements, engaging staff, and reporting on status.
Regular Duties: Provide ongoing support to Business Development Managers (BDMs) and assist in strategic initiatives and sales pitches to grow the iRate subscriber base.
Engage with fund manager subscribers and coordinate with the IT team on development projects, including testing.
About you: Significant experience in Product Management within the Australian financial services sector and preferably with software/application product development.
Demonstrated ability to develop a new product proposition or manage a significant uplift in an existing product offering delivering tangible business benefits.
Strong stakeholder management skills and proven leadership in overseeing cross-functional projects and teams.
Knowledge of the broader financial services industry including funds management, research and specifically on the financial advice process.
Knowledge/understanding of fintech solutions in the Australian market including financial planning software and CRM tools.
Strong communication skills including presentation skills.
Salesforce experience would be preferable.
Expertise in production of documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
Ability to manage personal time and resources in order to achieve project objectives and regular tasks.
Ability to formulate effective action plans to implement specific product development related strategies.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to research and provision of financial advice.
