Your Role as Education Support Officer We are now looking for a full-time Education Support Officer based in Newstead, TAS.
In this role, you will support Thrive's Early Years and School Aged Care Programs across various locations, reporting to the CEO, Director of Children's Services, and EYSAC Manager, with key responsibilities in program coordination, compliance, and educator support.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating and supervising Thrive's Early Learning and School Aged Care programs Supporting trainees and educators in their studies and professional development Assisting in training and acting as a role model for staff, students, and volunteers Ensuring educational programs comply with policies, laws, and regulations Monitoring, recording, and reporting on program quality Facilitating community and parental involvement in educational activities Providing hands-on support in care environments as needed Leading the implementation of the National Quality Framework Supporting team leaders and conducting regular meetings with educational leaders Participating in assessment and rating processes to uphold quality standards Liaising with professionals to maintain best practices and statutory compliance Identifying and addressing training needs within the team In this dynamic position, you will be an advocate for quality education, collaborating with professionals and mentoring staff.
Your leadership will help shape the educational landscape for early learning and school-aged care in our communities.
Who We Are Looking For To qualify, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Education and Care, along with eligibility to hold a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People card.
A minimum of three years' experience in the early childhood industry will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations Knowledge of early childhood development, including the Early Years Learning Framework Demonstrated ability to lead and support educators with a team-oriented approach Ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders to achieve organisational goals Strong organisational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and industry-specific software As our ideal candidate, you will possess strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills, along with a passion for delivering quality education and support services.
