This is your dream job to provide educational leadership and decision making to all areas of the Faculty.The Educational Delivery Manager (EDM) will oversee the areas within the Faculty of Industry Trade Skills. It is not expected that applicants have deep operational knowledge in all specialisation areas but can apply suitable overarching management and leadership principles.As the Educational Delivery Manager you will be responsible for:Collaborative planning, coordination, formulation and implementation of strategic and operational initiatives to ensure the highest standard of student learning and client service are realised in educational programs and services provided by Faculty.Leading the development and review of decision-making processes that support the achievement of positive student and educational program outcomes.Providing leadership in the areas of teaching and learning, professional development and course development, ensuring the promotion and practice of excellence in all areas of the Faculty.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide course expertise and support to educators and staff including performance management processes, induction, professional development, staff development plans, individual and team performance and staff recognition.Provide leadership, strategic and operational management of a multi-disciplinary team including:the development and review of educational planning programs to meet the educational objectives of the region and industry;management of educational issues including client and student feedback, program evaluations and misconduct;assist with educational budget planning and course costing activities and manage educational expenditure and revenue to ensure the achievements of targets and profitability;actively contribute to the specific projects being undertaken by the Faculty;oversee the maintenance of educational documents and associated administration support being provided to teaching staff.Utilise highly developed skills and experience to liaise with higher education, industry/business, professional bodies and the community to monitor trends and directions to ensure educational programs meet the needs of business and the community.Manage the quality of program development using established multi-disciplinary professional standards and provide advice to staff to ensure compliance and continual improvement of contractual and legislative requirements, course registration and industry standards.Utilise well-developed negotiation, communication and conflict management skills to work collaboratively with senior management, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of business planning and improvement strategies.Manage the development, implementation and ongoing review of key educational initiatives aimed at enhancing the student experience and engendering a strong identity and sense of community within the student body.Continuously promote new ways of improving efficiency by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes.Provide leadership on individual and team performance and future goals.Manage communication and actively engage with industry, business and the community.Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.How you will be assessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:Lead and manage strategic direction in vocational educational delivery including the development and/or review of vocational education and training courses relative to the Faculty.Provide strategic and operational management of a multi-disciplinary educational team including management of complex provision of service, allocation of resources, human resource management and utilisation of information systems to support service delivery.High level knowledge, expertise and skills to provide professional development and mentoring to a multi-disciplinary educational team.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with internal and external key stakeholders.Encourages creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship with the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.Highly Desirable RequirementsPossession of a Master of Education, Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma of Education (or equivalent).Possession of TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma or Higher Level qualification in Adult Education or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment including units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 (or equivalent).Working experience within a Trade qualification or a Trade background.How to applyIf you're interested in this role, click the 'Apply' button to submit your application via the TAFE Queensland Recruitment Portal.
