DescriptionABOUT THE ROLEThe Education Team Leader drives the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality educational programs that reflect CASPA's values of courage, respect, innovation, inclusivity, and integrity. This role provides leadership to the education team, ensuring that all programs meet the needs of service users while fostering a collaborative and supportive culture that promotes continuous learning and improvement.CASPA supports work-life balance, and in this role, you are welcome to work from home 3 days per week.Key Responsibilities:Contribute to and implement the strategic plan for education programs, demonstrating courage in setting ambitious goals and working towards state accreditation for CASPA's education services.Coordinate the delivery of educational services across all program locations, ensuring that programs are inclusive and meet the diverse needs of service users.Monitor program budget with integrity, ensuring responsible management of resources and maintaining transparency in financial decisions.Conduct regular program evaluations, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure the continuous improvement of educational offerings.Seek sources of additional funding and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to apply for grants and tenders, ensuring the sustainability and expansion of educational programs.Complete administrative duties related to the positionParticipate in and contribute positively to the team cultureComply with the WHS ActContribute to the work of CASPA overallSkills & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in EducationMinimum 5 years experience working in the Australian Education systemStrong written and verbal communication skills, with sound computer literacy skillsEffective time management and self-care promotion strategiesExtensive experience with high-risk school-aged youthCapacity to build rapport, engage and educate diverse students with complex needsSelf-drive with excellent organisation and record-keeping skillsExtensive knowledge of state-relevant educational policies and practicesExperience in teaching high school-aged studentsExperience teaching in alternative education settings, remote locations, or Special EducationExperience in the community service/child protection sectorExperience managing and supporting a team of professionalsABOUT THE ORGANISATIONCASPA Services Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of specialised care services to support complex trauma-based needs for children, young people, families, and people living with disabilities.
