Join us in making a difference in the lives of children across Tasmania!Your Role as Education Support OfficerWe are now looking for a full-time Education Support Officer based in Newstead, TAS.In this role, you will support Thrive's Early Years and School Aged Care Programs across various locations, reporting to the CEO, Director of Children's Services, and EYSAC Manager, with key responsibilities in program coordination, compliance, and educator support.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Coordinating and supervising Thrive's Early Learning and School Aged Care programsSupporting trainees and educators in their studies and professional developmentAssisting in training and acting as a role model for staff, students, and volunteersEnsuring educational programs comply with policies, laws, and regulationsMonitoring, recording, and reporting on program qualityFacilitating community and parental involvement in educational activitiesProviding hands-on support in care environments as neededLeading the implementation of the National Quality FrameworkSupporting team leaders and conducting regular meetings with educational leadersParticipating in assessment and rating processes to uphold quality standardsLiaising with professionals to maintain best practices and statutory complianceIdentifying and addressing training needs within the teamIn this dynamic position, you will be an advocate for quality education, collaborating with professionals and mentoring staff.
Your leadership will help shape the educational landscape for early learning and school-aged care in our communities.Who We Are Looking ForTo qualify, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Education and Care, along with eligibility to hold a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People card.
A minimum of three years' experience in the early childhood industry will also be essential.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and RegulationsKnowledge of early childhood development, including the Early Years Learning FrameworkDemonstrated ability to lead and support educators with a team-oriented approachAbility to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders to achieve organisational goalsStrong organisational skills, including time management and the ability to meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and industry-specific softwareAs our ideal candidate, you will possess strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills, along with a passion for delivering quality education and support services.
