This position is situated within MacKillop Education Caulfield (Foundation to Senior) and reports to the Education and Wellbeing Coordinator.

This position is situated within MacKillop Education. The position will be based at the MacKillop Caulfield Campus. The aim of the Education Support position is to enhance the classroom learning and wellbeing of students, in partnership with a Classroom Teacher or under the guidance of the Intervention Teacher. Education Support staff play a key role in engaging students in the classroom, co-regulating with students when dysregulated and completing administrative duties to support learning in the classroom. Education Support may be required to work with students individually and in small groups, across the school programs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
Relevant work experience and a minimum Diploma Qualification, Certificate IV in Education Support or Special needs or equivalent.
An understanding and commitment to the objectives and values of the organisation, including Sanctuary Commitments, as outlined above, and a capacity to represent MacKillop values as required by the role.
An understanding of teaching and learning strategies and the ability to implement these as required.
