Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Education Support Assistant. This role will provide support to teachers and students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide routine support to teachers, including assisting with planning and coordination of student routines.Support communication between teachers and parents, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.Communicate with teachers on routine matters related to students and other responsibilities, promoting a culture of transparency and open communication.Provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, including toileting, meals, and lifting, ensuring their safety and comfort.Communicate with students to support their comprehension of basic tasks and information, promoting their learning and development.Address immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting, aligned to school policy and procedure.Provide basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.Support teachers in the coordination of educational programs, including rostering and organizing the work of a team of aides, providing routine coordination, guidance, and support to other student support staff.Provide medical intervention support to students, under specific conditions, with appropriate training and guidance.Provide specialized communication support for students and teachers in areas such as AUSLAN and braille, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.RequirementsWe are looking for an individual with the aptitude, experience, and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of this position.
