Job No:496930Work Type:Full timeLocation:CanberraAbout the rolePublic Programs is responsible for developing and delivering interpreted, engaging, and curated programs aimed at providing access to the national archival collection in the richest possible ways. Public Programs develops and delivers programs onsite, offsite, and online through exhibitions – touring, temporary, and permanent – lifelong learning programs, school programs, and digital experiences.Under general direction, the main duties of the role are to:Develop, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, curriculum-aligned learning resources and experiences for students and teachers, including on-site programs, digital programs, classroom activities, short classroom videos, and teacher professional learning programs.Lead the delivery of school programs, applying best-practice pedagogy and differentiating delivery for diverse groups of learners.Coach a team of visitor service officers in their delivery of school programs through the development and implementation of staff training programs and the provision of 1-to-1 feedback.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress education projects and raise the profile of National Archives' education programs and resources.Manage school program bookings and complete administrative tasks, reporting, and evaluation as required.Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity, and work health and safety within a work and team environment.Minimum QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications in education and/or demonstrated experience delivering education programs in a cultural institution are desirable.EligibilityTo be eligible for the role, you must be an Australian citizen.If selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline clearance level.The successful applicant must have the ability to obtain and retain a Working with Vulnerable People registration and be willing to work flexible hours on occasion.How to applyYou need to apply through our e-recruitment system PageUp via the Apply Now button below.
