The position is situated in the Staff Spiritual Formation within the Catholic Life and Education Mission Service Area.THE ROLE INVOLVESPlanning, organisation and facilitation of spiritual formation programs and retreats.Meeting with personnel in schools and the Catholic Education Office to discern and plan for ongoing spiritual formation of staff.Providing ongoing support to schools and the Catholic Education Office Service Areas with resources to use in prayer and spiritual formation.ABOUT YOUTo achieve success in the role, the successful candidate will be someone with:A deep understanding of and a commitment to the mission and purpose of a Catholic school within the broader evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.A deep personal commitment to the practice of their faith and their own spiritual formation.Sound understanding of Adult Spiritual Formation and its implementation in the education sector.Demonstrated leadership at a parish, school and/or system level.Capacity to support school based Spiritual Formation.Ability to design spiritual formation experiences for staff.An understanding of and engagement with Lighting the Way (Strategic Plan) for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong and Bearers of Christ Love (Bishop Brian Mascord's charter for Catholic Schools).DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIAExperience in facilitation of adult spiritual formation opportunities.GENERAL CAPABILITIESWell-developed interpersonal skills.Well-developed oral and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.A commitment to ongoing personal and professional learning, formation and growth.QUALIFICATIONSAccreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E) in accordance with the 'Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong' policy (or a commitment to acquiring within a 5 year period).WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCEThis role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.POSITION APPLICATIONApplicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).To confidentially discuss your interest in this position please contact Gary Quinn, Team Leader Staff Spiritual Formation on 0439 639 940.
