This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed educator to work within the Statewide Services division. Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most.
The Curriculum Priorities branch provides advice to schools and the system and leads the development of strategies, professional learning, resources and tools that strengthen the capability of public schools and the profession. We are looking for a team member who has a thorough understanding of contemporary approaches to delivering the curriculum and other teaching and learning priorities.
The successful applicant will assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of specialist teaching and learning support in response to the needs of public schools and the Department's strategic direction. They will support schools and education regions through the development and implementation of whole-school approaches to improve quality teaching and learning practices.
As a key component of the role, the Education Officer will consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to build quality system wide services and supports that improve student achievement. In addition, they will be required to contribute to the provision of subject matter expertise to assist in the development and delivery of professional learning resources.
