Summary:The Content Development Manager is responsible for leading the content creation and production efforts for our vocational unaccredited training courses. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team to produce high quality video and written educational content delivered to students. The manager will ensure that all content aligns with the organisation's standards and educational objectives while fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Course Writers/Designers, Subject Matter Experts, a Videographer, Video Editors, and a Production Coordinator.Foster a positive team culture that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.Content Development Oversight:Oversee the end-to-end development of educational courses, ensuring content quality and relevance.Collaborate with Course Writers/Designers and Subject Matter Experts to develop course outlines, learning objectives, and instructional materials.Ensure that content adheres to adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.Production Management:Coordinate with the Videographer and Video Editors to produce engaging video content.Oversee the production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of all content components.Manage resources effectively to stay within budget constraints.Quality Assurance:Implement quality control processes to ensure all content meets established standards.Review and approve final content before release.Stay updated on industry trends to incorporate innovative practices into content development.Cross Functional Collaboration:Work closely with other departments such as Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support to align content strategies.Serve as the primary point of contact for content related inquiries and feedback.Strategic Planning:Develop and implement content strategies that support organisational goals.Identify opportunities for new course offerings based on market demand and industry trends.Prepare reports on team performance and project progress for senior management.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Media Production, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational content development or instructional design.Proven leadership experience managing creative teams.Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency with content development tools and platforms.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.WHY WORK FOR US:- Fast growing company with plenty of opportunity for growth- Great company culture- Full training provided- Queens Road Location just off St Kilda Road - Brand New Office with views over Albert Park & an in-house Barista!
