The Children in Residential Care (CIRC) program supports young people in residential care to connect or re-establish their education and pathways. The CIRC program team are experienced Specialist Educators using a trauma-informed approach, along with up-to-date integration and teaching strategies.
Your Opportunity The Education Specialist provides advocacy for their students through a case load to return to learning; through care team interactions, assessments, educational planning, enrolment support, and liaising with education bodies.
Education Specialists will be required to Engage face-to-face well with the young person, Support their educational needs, and Transfer them back to learning.
Interactions with a young person and a Care Team will require a flexible, diverse, and creative approach to meet the needs of each student.
