About the role:We are currently recruiting for two full time ongoing Education Capability Coordinators to join Box Hill Institute.The Education Capability Coordinator role works closely with an allocated Faculty at Box Hill Institute and leads the development of Moodle Shell design and educator development in blended learning and online pedagogies. They oversee the development and management of the shells to ensure they utilise the Standard unit template and meet academic quality, user experience, and web accessibility standards. Collaborating with Box Hill Institute (BHI) employees and stakeholders, they establish and maintain relationships to ensure quality outcomes.The Education Capability Coordinator is a member of the StudentWeb Support Team and works in close collaboration to support their Faculty. The position manages their portfolio of courses in the Faculty, auditing content and taking a project management based response to continuous improvement. The position also has responsibility to ensure the online learning environment meets BHI requirements / benchmarks for accessibility and academic quality and is accountable for administration of the Master shells. The positions are key members of the StudentWeb Working Party which includes the LMS Administrator and StudentWeb Support Specialists.The StudentWeb Support Team provide coaching and technical skills instruction to support teachers with learning and assessment design. This ensures innovative training and assessment solutions are customised, updated and refined to meet the changing expectations of our learners, and, where relevant, their employers. This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the Box Hill Institute and liaising with relevant external stakeholders, including the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), key industry groups such and organisations with whom BHI has large contracts. About You:Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE41116/22) is essentialAQF5 or higher teaching qualification, including a supervised teaching practice and/or an AQF 6 or higher Learning Design qualification is desirableLearning Design qualifications or experience is desirableDemonstrated proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students. Experience in training and coaching others in the use of learning management systemsExtensive experience in learning design for eLearning and blended learning programs within a vocational or higher education environmentProven ability to design and map assessment tasks for both curriculum and competency-based programsAwareness of current industry standards and innovative practices and ability to implement these in everyday work practice.
