Your role will be to assist in keeping our communications on brand, purposeful, bold, inspirational, and consistent. You'll be working in an energetic marketing environment to produce creative communications and engaging content that propels our brand towards its strategic goals. Job Title : Digital Communications & Design Specialist Reporting To: Marketing & Communications Lead (and indirectly through to the CEO) Conditions: Part-time (3 days per week) with flexible and hybrid work options Location: Home Office – Based in Australia or New Zealand About The Role:
Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Lead, you will assist in the implementation and maintenance of a dynamic marketing and communications strategy across all platforms with specific focus on digital and social media. Interest and skill in digital content development, design, and visual communication for website, EDMs, eNewsletters, Social Media, blogs, podcasts, printed collateral, and ads is essential.
You will also be supporting communications from other members of the team, including acquisition marketing to attract new members and retention strategies to retain members.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the delivery of effective Marketing and Communications campaigns to nurture, promote and profile the organisation. Create inspiring content across different platforms including website, EDMs, eNewsletters, Social Media, blogs, podcasts, printed collateral, and ads. Coordinate the organisation's Social Media accounts, create posts, monitor engagement and analyse metrics to optimise reach and engagement. Assist in the promotion of events (Conferences, Summits, Professional Development events and webinars), including developing promotional materials, creating event collateral and providing onsite support of Apps and digital signage, if needed. Maintain and update the website, ensuring content is current, accurate and aligned with branding and communications goals. Assist with the creation of visual assets, including graphics, videos and presentations, using tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite or Canva. Align all communications with the Educate Plus Corporate Identity and Style Guide, ensuring they reflect the organisation's voice and values. Collaborate and assist Chapter Committees with their marketing requirements to align it with the organisational brand and strategy. Track, analyse and report on KPIs for Marketing and Communications activities, and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Academic & Trades Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency. At least three years' Marketing and Communications experience. The relevant rights to work in Australia or New Zealand. Desired Personal & Professional Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. High levels of energy to deliver an outstanding end product with pride in your work. Being a supportive and willing team player with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude. Experience working with remote, cross-functional teams. Exceptional learning agility and time management. High level of attention to detail. Enthusiasm, initiative and the ability to work independently. Proven experience delivering a variety of marketing and brand assets. Strong writing ability including proof reading, editing and copy writing to deliver engaging content. Demonstrated experience in using a WordPress website. Demonstrated experience of using a CRM and segmenting customer databases. Demonstrated experience in using Adobe's Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated standard graphic design skills, mostly for in-house design. Experience in creating and executing cross-channel promotional plans. Comfortable with a range of editing tools such as: Adobe Creative Suite, mobile creator apps, and in-app editing (Instagram Story and Reels creation). Creativity to translate any content into effective communication. It would be great if you had these skills too:
