Il Globo announces has a vacancy in its editorial department and so seeks an energetic and enthusiastic person to join its Melbourne team.
The Company Il Globo and La Fiamma are the only two bi-weekly Italian language newspapers and are vital in providing news and information to the Italian community around Australia. The newspapers have a combined national reach and have been the leading news service for over 60 years. The company also operates a national radio network in many cities with multicultural segments. The main content focus for the radio network is in the Italian language for the Italian community in Australia.
The Role Reporting to the Editor, you will be working in a Melbourne based team that is focused on providing a quality information for the Italian community. The role is full time Monday to Friday.
The role includes a number of tasks including but not limited to:
news reporting, writing stories, copy and editing of stories. attend community events and ceremonies for the purpose of reportingresearching and writing profiles and featuresother Editorial duties as reasonably requiredSalary will be negotiated based on experience.
The Person We are searching for a permanent Australian resident who speaks and writes Italian fluently. Native speakers are preferred. A qualification in Journalism is not required.
Being flexible and positive with a keen willingness to represent Il Globo at Community events are attributes we look for as well as proven track record of working in a team to deadlines.
