Selection Criteria Demonstrated passion, commitment, knowledge and skills that supports highly effective course/careers counselling and related careers programs. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, parents, employers, agencies and other staff. High level capacity to perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice and school/DET policy and the personal attributes required to do this work with limited supervision and guidance. Outstanding administration, organisational and resource management skills and proficiency in using office systems and relevant software. Demonstrated capacity to lead a team as well as being able to provide strategic supervision, guidance and support of colleagues. An ongoing commitment to professional learning and growth. A commitment and capacity to actively contribute to the broader school program. Role This position is Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm Role: A key leadership role within the school, leading our Careers/Pathways team To lead the provision of a high-quality advice and support to the school community in the development and implementation of programs, procedures and policies to ensure that all students are able to manage and plan career and study transitions. As leader of the of the career team, give expert advice and work collaboratively with school staff, principal class, student wellbeing and support agencies to develop and initiate a range of pathways programs, including course counselling and work experience.
