Job Overview: This position will play a crucial role in enhancing the awareness of WA's innovation ecosystem, and highlighting the people, structures, and programs it's made up of.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling, and creating impactful content that enhances the view of WA onto a global stage.
This role will be responsible for providing marketing coordination and support for Meshpoints.
This role requires strong communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the Western Australian innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to widely share the authentic stories of entrepreneurs and the community that supports them.
Key Responsibilities: Coordination of marketing channels and activities to identify and craft newsworthy stories, angles, and narratives that align with our brand and objectives, including: Creation of case studies from previously funded projects Creation of newsletters to our Partner Network Creation of social media, press releases and blog content Working in Hubspot CRM to monitor, analyse, and communicate results on a regular basis to leadership teams and key stakeholders. Work closely with local PR/Marketing agencies to secure above the line media placements that deliver on strategic planning results. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to pitch and place our stories effectively. Collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the project is executed effectively and efficiently. Key Outcomes: Strategic Communications Planning: Creation of a quarterly strategic media campaign to achieve significant increases in awareness of the ecosystem and its key players. Media Placement: Stream of stories, articles, and/or mentions secured in media outlets per month. Content Creation: Stories, articles and/or content created that isn't picked up by a media outlet, to be used on blogs, websites and social media. What we are looking for: You have experience in PR, journalism, marketing or related fields. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong storytelling abilities with a knack for finding unique angles. You are extremely organised and have a strong attention to detail. You have a demonstrated passion for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in Western Australia. Familiarity with media relations and a network of media contacts is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with social media management tools (i.e.
Hubspot) and basic graphic design and video tools (i.e.
Canva) is a plus, but not required. Job Types: Part-time, Contract
