Permanent, full-time role Band 6, $97,000-105,000 plus super Based in Preston, near Preston Markets Access to RDO's & flexible work Dynamic team of economic, placemaking and sustainability professional About the Role The Economic Industry Research Officer is based in the Economic Development Unit at the City of Darebin.
They will undertake industry sector research and develop business strategies.
They will lead regular economic reporting and support industry networking activites, face to face and online.
Key responsibilities: Undertake business research and develop strategies and actions to retain, develop and grow businesses and industry in Darebin Oversee economic stakeholder relationship mapping Lead regular Spendmapp and economic reporting for the Unit Lead programs and initiatives that increase business capacity to operate online Manage Economic Development Unit social media platforms and other communications Skills & Experience Detail orientated with strong research, analysis and reporting skills Experience in implementing industry and business programs Knowledge of economic drivers and the key challenges facing business and industry Experience in working autonomously and managing multiple projects concurrently Graduate degree qualification in business, economics and/or relevant field Working With Children Card essential A current Victorian drivers licence is desirable Darebin encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people of colour.
