About the RoleThe Economic Industry Research Officer is based in the Economic Development Unit at the City of Darebin.
They will undertake industry sector research and develop business strategies.
They will lead regular economic reporting and support industry networking activites, face to face and online.
Key responsibilities:Undertake business research and develop strategies and actions to retain, develop and grow businesses and industry in DarebinOversee economic stakeholder relationship mappingLead regular Spendmapp and economic reporting for the UnitLead programs and initiatives that increase business capacity to operate onlineManage Economic Development Unit social media platforms and other communicationsSkills & Experience Detail orientated with strong research, analysis and reporting skillsExperience in implementing industry and business programsKnowledge of economic drivers and the key challenges facing business and industryExperience in working autonomously and managing multiple projects concurrentlyGraduate degree qualification in business, economics and/or relevant fieldWorking With Children Card essentialA current Victorian drivers licence is desirableDarebin encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people of colour.
