You will provide effective and efficient project support to the Economic Development and Tourism Unit, engaging with businesses having a customer first and continuous improvement mindset.
This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative, dedicated and enthusiastic team and to work with a variety of projects to support our local economy.
A typical day will include: Be a first point of contact for economic development related enquiries engaging directly with businesses.Organise and promote business workshops and events, preparing promotional material, and e-newsletters.Under supervision implement projects that relate to the Economic Development Strategy.Analyse statistical data to provide information to internal teams.What you'll bring to the role: Qualifications in economic development, business, marketing, tourism or experience in a similar role.Self-motivation and initiative, with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team.Understanding of the economic development environment within a local government context.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Highly developed organisational / time management skills.Demonstrated understanding of effective customer service principles and practices.Want to know more?
