Our NSW team is continuing to grow and diversify our range of clients, especially in the impact assessment and renewables industries. We are looking for Ecologists to join our NSW teams based in Sydney & Newcastle to support this growth.Your Impact:Project manage and deliver environmental surveys and impact assessments of terrestrial ecosystems, specifically flora and fauna, biodiversity and habitat;Assist in and supervise field surveys including terrestrial flora and fauna;Production of high-quality technical reports;Identify issues and problems and develop & deliver appropriate solutions.What you need to succeed:Tertiary qualifications in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources or related field;A minimum of 2 years' experience in either an environmental consultancy or the public sector including undertaking ecological/environmental surveys and report production;Understanding and application of all relevant legislation that underpins ecological projects;High level flora and fauna identification skills;Ability to use information technology including Microsoft office software and appropriate field equipment;Experience working with a wide range of environmental planning projects;Solid report writing skills;Comprehensive interpersonal and relationship building skills;Driver's licence essential, 4wd experience and accreditation preferable;Project management skills preferred but not essential;Flexibility to travel for field work.What's on Offer:Along with a competitive salary, RPS provides a diverse and inclusive work environment amongst a team of dedicated and pragmatic environmental experts.
