Management | Full-Time | Field Operations Vestas is actively seeking a talented electrical engineer to enhance our electrical balance of plant tendering and project development efforts.
In the role of EBoP Manager Service Operations, you will play a crucial part in supporting cross-functional teams dedicated to optimizing service maintenance and operational excellence.
Your expertise will be vital in driving our commitment to quality and efficiency in every project. Electrical Balance of Plant Life Cycle Support operates within Vestas' Power Plant Solutions division, providing support to wind farm development, sales (EPC), construction, and service operations and maintenance.
This team is responsible for delivering the Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) and associated scope (high voltage operation and compliance), specifically for maintenance contracts.
Responsibilities: Ensure the maintenance plan for the portfolio of service contracts is created with the scheduler.Review contracts and extract the EBoP maintenance scope.Drill down the EBoP scope, extracting high voltage operations, SCADA, grid compliance, and other interrelated compliance requirements.Ensure internal and external resources are lined up to deliver the agreed scope as per the schedule.Ensure maintenance plans are executed on time and cost-effectively.Plan the mobility of resources effectively.Create task lists for each service occurrence.Review and approve subcontractor work delivered and payment claims.Ensure service providers (subcontractor) and internal reports are reviewed and released to clients on time.Ensure the quality of services provided meets industry best practices.Record any deviations in the quality system.Drive corrective and preventive measures for any deviations.Estimate unscheduled service support.Perform the role of people manager, including recruiting, training, and development of operators & supervisors with other supporting functions.
Job allocation and time sheet approvals.Yearly apprising the team members and providing feedback to individual and management.Conduct internal stakeholder meetings to control EBoP service deliverables.Participate in service management meetings and present the status of EBoP deliverables.Manage internal and external EBoP tickets, assigning and assisting the relevant engineering team.Help prepare tender packs to comply with client requirements, best industrial practices, local standards, and safety regulatory requirements.Assist in evaluating electrical contractor tender submissions.Help develop the scope of work and manage consultants/contractors in technical service delivery aspects.Ensure reliability and availability of electrical balance of plant maintenance by structuring documents that outline parameters, calculations, and methodologies.Monitor and report pre-calculation and post-calculation results.Review reliability and availability reports and suggest improvements.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on general electrical-related queries.Provide ad hoc support to internal construction engineers after contract award.Qualification: Under or Post Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering - recognized by Engineers Australia.Minimum 12 -15 years' experience.Previous EBoP maintenance delivery experience.Experience with underground cable systems, MV-HV substations, and power transmission lines for voltage levels up to 500KV.Asset management knowledge.Knowledge of Australian Standards.Awareness of site constraints applicable to wind farm substations.Management of consultants and contractors.Experience in negotiating with stakeholders, both clients and contractors.Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment.Advanced use of MS Office.Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.Relationship building, both internal and external.Proactive and practical approach to the role.Commercial and risk awareness.What we offer: A workplace that focuses on safety.An opportunity to work with the world leader in wind energy.The opportunity to further develop your skills and professional development.Global career progression prospects.Additional information: You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.All our career opportunities are listed at https://www.vestas.com/en/careerAll potential employees will be subject to undertaking a full medical assessment to be considered for this role.Join the World's Leading Wind Energy Solutions Provider.Excellent Career Development opportunities both Nationally and Globally.A workplace that embraces Diversity and Inclusion.Vestas is an equal-opportunity employer.
