Early Years Support Officer - Integrated Support portfolio Apply now Job no: 495554 Work type: Permanent Part-time Location: Knox Civic Centre Categories: Children's Services, General Administration We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years Support Officer (EYSO) to join the Child and Family Health and Wellbeing team.As our new EYSO you will make a difference daily by providing general administrative support across the team. Key responsibilities will include writing emails, answering phone calls, database management and monitoring of the shared inbox. You will report to the Team Leader Playgroup and work collaboratively with the Child Family Health and Wellbeing team facilitating success on a number of our key projects.This is apermanent part time role, 15.2 hours per week, based atKnox Civic Centre, but we can offer hybrid working arrangements and flexible work options for the right candidate.This is a Band4classified role, remuneration will be $71,212.94- $75,849.47(paid pro-rata for part time)plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.What you will need to thriveExperience in providing quality children's programs using a strength-based family centred approach;Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate information and education groups for adults within set timeframes;Ability to plan effectively to support and link families to local support services;Ability to form and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders;Highly developed communication skills (both written and oral);Highly developed interpersonal skills with a particular focus on strength-based and customer-focused approaches.Experience in the provision of services to children and families including dealing with people of diverse backgrounds, including those from CALD backgrounds, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, and families with children with disabilities.The expertise you bring (including qualifications and experience)Certificate IV in Administration and/or previous experience in a similar administrative position;Good verbal and written communication skills;An ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a range of stakeholders;Previous experience in Family and Children's Services in Local Government (Desirable);Ability to work in a busy and changing environment amid competing demands.How to apply:Please provide a resume and brief cover letter addressing the 'what you will need to thrive' section from the position description to outline how your experience and skills relate to the role.For further information on this role please contact Leanne Michaud on 0434 474 114.To view a copy of the position description please visit our Knox City Council Careers Page.Applications close 11:45pm Monday 8 July 2024.Please note, candidates will be shortlisted as applications are received and this role may close earlier than the anticipated closing date.Why UsAt Knox, makinga difference to others and our community is at the heart of everything we do.
