About the Role
Sandy Strait State School is seeking an Early Years Support Coordinator (AO3) to work within the KindyLinQ program. Sandy Strait State School is very proud of its Strong Start centre and KindyLinQ is a key component of that, effectively running a playgroup style setting (with a qualified teacher) to welcome students and families to our school and assist them into a smooth transition to Kindy for the following year.
KindyLinQ is a targeted program designed to enhance children's wellbeing prior to school and strengthen the capability of families to support their children's learning and development. It provides an opportunity for the host school to forge strong and supportive links between home, early childhood services and the community.
As the Early Years Support Coordinator you will:
Participate in the development of programs, in and out of school, likely to enhance early childhood development and learning across the local community. Provide support to families to maximise their engagement with early childhood services, including kindergarten. The Early Years Support Coordinator reports to the Principal, or nominated delegate.
