Early Years Specialist - Gouburn/QueanbeyanWe are seeking an Early Years Specialist to join a diverse and highly motivated group of experienced allied health professionals, social workers, and inclusive education specialists.
The organisation works across health, disability, counselling, and community mental health services across Australia, promoting health, building hope, and creating opportunities to help build a healthy community where everyone belongs.
The role The Early Years Specialist will work in a transdisciplinary team to deliver functional assessments, planning, and delivering early supports for children 0-9 years with a developmental delay or disability and their families.
You will work in partnership with families to support children to achieve positive outcomes, actively participate in everyday activities, and be included in family and community life.
You will:
Interact and build rapport with families and listen to the voice of the childConnect and facilitate the inclusion of the child in community and mainstream settingsCoach families, carers, and other professionals to build their capacityDocument developmental information, goals, and outcomesAssist families to apply for and implement a funded NDIS planWork in a close collaborative teamThe successful appointment will Hold a tertiary qualification in allied health or educationHold current registration with either AHPRA, SPA, AASW, or relevant teaching registrationPossess a NSW Drivers licenceDemonstrate previous experience working with children and familiesShow experience working with developmental delays/disabilities with direct intervention strategiesConfirm willingness to complete references, police check, and NDIS checksWhat we offer The organisation is committed to developing its people.
