Early Learning Centre Teacher (0.8Fte)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years educator to join our Early Learning Centre team in 2025. The position of Early Learning Centre (ELC) teacher is key to creating a positive learning environment, in which children are actively engaged in the learning process, using a variety of teaching strategies to cater for learning styles and mixed abilities.

This is a classroom teacher job share role, working with the ELC Director to have shared responsibility for the class. The 0.8FTE is over five days, working in the afternoons on Monday and Tuesday and all-day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Applicants are required to be a trained Early Childhood teacher with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies or an equivalent four-year tertiary qualification. Experience in a similar position, teamed with training in inquiry-based learning and Reggio Emilia, would be highly regarded.

An understanding of and experience working with young children A desire and proven ability to work in teams in and out of the classroom An understanding and experience in educating in the outdoors (Learning in, with, from and for nature) An outstanding record in building relationships with students, parents and staff Other desirable experience and qualities include:
