THE OPPORTUNITY The EEC has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, energetic, and dedicated Assistant Director to join the team working alongside the EEC Director to manage the operational and educational outcomes of the Early Education Centre.
In this role you will support the Director in the daily operating aspects of the Centre to ensure that the EEC provides a high-quality, innovative, and distinctive early education program. This includes the compliance aspects of the Centre, such as the policies, practices and understanding of the National Quality frameworks along with the leadership and management of the EEC team. There will be a teaching component to the role so the ability to be flexible with the capability to teach will be key areas we will be looking for in this role.
In this role you will also work alongside an energetic team of teachers and educators, who are committed to excellence and the provision of an exceptional learning environment for our students. This includes providing a variety of learning opportunities that are aligned to the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, to create welcoming and inviting environments that enhance student's confidence, while fostering collaborative partnerships with families, carers, colleagues, and the wider School community.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING To be successful in this role, you will have a willingness to support the values and aims of the School, and have
• Bachelor or Diploma qualification in the early childhood area (or its equivalent) from an accredited tertiary institution plus experience in a similar role.
• Eligibility to work in Australia and be the holder or, or can obtain, a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).
• Current knowledge or and demonstrated experience using the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework with an understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy being highly regarded but is not a requirement of the role.
• The ability to promote an environment of dynamic, active, and supportive learning with experience leading a small to medium sized team of early education staff.
• Proven ability to develop confidence and self-esteem in staff and students and to act as a role model in presentation, action, and communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with highly developed organisational, communication and administrative skills.
