In a Montessori classroom, educators serve as a link between the Prepared Environment and the children.
Their role is to observe the children and guide them in their own unique learning process, to help them develop a life-long love of learning.
Key Compentencies: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications • Leadership and mentoring skills • Understanding of the Montessori Philosophy • Experience working with preschool aged children • Passionate about implementing early learning programs • Commitment to the holistic development of their class
Essential Criteria • Ability to work shifts between 7:30am - 6:00pm, 5 days a week• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (approved by ACECQA) or working towards this role • Current Working with Children Check• First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one • Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
