Early Childhood Support Practitioner

Early Childhood Supports is a new division within ORS. ECS purpose is to provide high-quality, evidence-informed support to children under 8 years old (increasing to 9 in line with the NDIS ECEI reset) and their families.ECS will provide interdisciplinary team support comprised of allied health professionals and specialist teachers who have expertise in child development. ECS will provide supports under the Key Worker model where there is one lead practitioner that supports the child and family through applying a range of strategies across all areas of development.Work Life BalanceThe ORS executive team really believes in the benefits of a healthy work life balance. For this reason we:Provide the resources for our staff to be able to work from homeAim to allocate clients close to your homeGive you ownership of your own calendar so you can book appointments to suit your scheduleProvide suburban office locations with free onsite and local parkingGive you the ability to work part time or reduced hoursAs an Early Childhood Supports Key Worker your duties will include:Working with families and children to develop and prioritise their goals using a routines-based approachProviding support to families that reflects a strengths-based and family-centred approach with a focus on improving the child and family quality of lifeProviding evidence-based support to address children's goals across all areas of development e.g. communication, play, mobility, feeding, self-care activities, sensory processing, relationships with peers, feelings and behaviours, problem-solving and learningWorking to develop the capacity of the adults supporting the childCoordinating support required from other disciplines.
