Moreton Bay College (Long Day Care) Early Learning Centre provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for the boys and girls in its care.
MBC Early Learning Centre has a Reggio Emilia based Approach, with a child-led program and inquiry based learning style.
MBC Early Learning Centre is adjacent to the College's Prep Facility and is a fully licensed 69 place Long Day Care Centre available to both girls and boys and includes facilities catering for children aged 15 months to 4 years.
The Centre operates from 6:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday (except for Public Holidays), for 50 weeks of the year – closing for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.

THE POSITION
Our Early Years Precinct is seeking a creative, dedicated Lead Educators who has a genuine passion for child-centered learning and strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework to join our team where you will be responsible for our 2 - 3 year old room.

All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church Day schools from EY-12.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting with the implementation of the Early Childhood ProgramEngaging and working alongside children and families to support learning outcomes.Working with individuals and groups of children to support and document their learning.Awareness of planning for children's learning experiences through the EYLFAbility to document learning observations and critical reflectionsHelp maintain the environment, resources and equipment.Understanding and working according to the Early Learning Centre PoliciesComplete light cleaning duties as required.Assist with administration duties as required.Ensuring the health and safety of all children in their care.Awareness of the regulations associated with the early education and care industryEngage in professional discussions about the learning program and continuous improvement.Actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.SKILLS AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Good communication and inter-personal skillsAbility to relate well to young children.IT skills.Able to use initiative.Energetic and enthusiastic.Demonstrate workplace health and safety practices.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Diploma in Early Childhood Education and CareA good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Working with Children Suitability Card is essential.A current first aid certificate and CPR.Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.WORK ENVIRONMENT Staff are resourced with a shared desk and computer.The Early Learning Centre has a shared lunchroom.This role can require a high level of physical activity and requires a physically capable individual.On occasion there will be a need to lift a child (approx weight 15kg)CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS
