DescriptionConnect Children and Families (Connect) is a not-for-profit organisation serving communities in the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury and Western Sydney.
Together we support children's and families' learning, safety and wellbeing.
We do this through supporting families to access services that respond to their needs, creating pathways both across our services, and to other community agencies that can support them.
Our services are available to children and families in their home, in early childhood education centres and pre-schools, in community spaces and schools and other family-centred services.
Bunya Early Childhood Centre provides education and care for 54 children per day from 6 weeks of age to 6 years. Bunya has been a staple service supporting the families of Winmalee, Hawkesbury Heights and Springwood for over 30 years. Our dedicated team of educators are passionate about early childhood development and are eager to make a positive impact on the lives of children. We value collaboration, creativity, and a nurturing approach, ensuring that every child receives the attention and care they need to reach their full potential.
We have a highly rewarding opportunity for a Full-time Early Childhood Educator (Diploma trained or Cert III working towards their diploma) to join our dedicated team, working with families to navigate the early stages of their little one's life.
As a valued and dedicated Diploma Educator, we are committed to providing you with the resources and support you need to excel in your role and make a positive impact on our children. We support career progression and will provide opportunities for this, including coaching and mentoring support, particularly from our educational leader.
A dynamic role that focuses on the circle of security model means children lead their day in an unstructured manner. You will promote physical, cognitive, social and emotional development whilst working closely with other team members to provide a holistic and inclusive learning experience for all children in your care.
Responsibilities include: Work in partnership with familiesMaintain, set and evaluate goalsProgramming, observations and Curriculum planningTo be considered for this role you will be required to have the following (or be willing to obtain): Diploma of Early Childhood Education and CareCurrent Senior First Aid certificateCPR including Anaphylaxis and AsthmaValid Working with Children Check and National Police CheckStrong programming abilities, such as writing observations and engaging in curriculum planningPrevious experience working with children with additional needs will be highly regardedBenefits of working with Connect: Our values and philosophy are at the heart of everything we do. You will enjoy an attractive salary package of $63,500 - $77,500 (FTE), including super, in line with your experience level. Other benefits include:
