The Role: Excellent employee benefits including salary packagingThis is a Permanent position at 76 per fortnight within Early Learning. You will be an active team member in the provision of high quality early childhood education and care, including developing strong relationships with children, families, educators and the community. You will support a developmentally based curriculum that meets the needs of children aged 0-5 years, alongside the services philosophy, procedures and policies.
What You'll Achieve: Contribute in the preparation, implementation and reflection of the curriculum cycle for individual and groups of children, with reference to the EYLF and/or developmentally appropriate practice.Contribute to the daily routines, including maximising these opportunities for learning, and support children to actively participate in the curriculum.Maintain positive communication with families, children, educators and other hospital staff at all times.Respect children's rights, and engage them in shared decision-making.Advocate for the importance of high quality early education in the community.Classification for this position will range from CS16-28.
Your Skills and Experience: A working understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the application of this document in practice.Demonstrated experience in assisting in the planning, implementation and reflection of the curriculum cycle.A working understanding of the National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations 2011, and Code of Ethics.A demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with children and families, as well as an ability to work with families sensitively and in a culturally competent manner.The ability to work as part of a team, cooperatively and flexibly.Other Requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain.Valid Working with Children Check.Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure.Application process: To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.
