What you'll be doing in this role?
As an Early Childhood Coordinator you can have a life-changing impact for young children and their families.
You will be part of a diverse transdisciplinary team of allied health and early childhood professionals.
You will implement the NDIS Early Childhood Approach to support children aged younger than 6 with developmental delay or children younger than 9 with disabilityand their families/carers.
You will support families to help children develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life.
Your work will include: Your role as an Early Childhood Coordinator will include providing information and linkages to mainstream and community supports, providing early connections and early supports and assisting families to request access to the NDIS where appropriate.In addition, if access is approved by the NDIS, you will support the family to gather information for the development of their NDIS plan and support implementation of this plan.
A focus of this approach is to ensure that children receive the individualised supports they require according to their needs and circumstances.
What we're looking for: Tertiary qualification in Allied Health such as Occupational therapy, Speech pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social work or Early Childhood Education/teaching AHPRA Registration if applicable A current Victorian Drivers Licence A current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT Registration NDIS Workers Screening Check (can be obtained during application) There will be a requirement to travel across service delivery areas What's in it for you?
