This role is replacing a staff member who will be on leave and will conclude at the end of Term 3.This role will provide EAL/D expertise for teachers K - 6 who teach multilingual students. The EAL/D team assesses students and provides in-class and withdrawal support, collaborating with classroom teachers in the development of inclusive social and academic programs for students for whom English is an additional language.To be successful in securing this position you will have demonstrated teaching ability in EAL/D encompassing:experience in teaching in K - 6significant experience in teaching EAL/D studentsexperience in the development and application of programs, tools and resources that scaffold the NSW Curriculum for EAL/D studentsTESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) studies or language-related postgraduate qualificationa flexible and collegial approachKnowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme is desirable but not essential.To Apply:Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
