Purpose of the Role: Responsible for the establishment, placement and management of the appropriate contract arrangements with E&M suppliers, to deliver the cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business, through effective relationship and performance management, maximize value and minimize risk.
Qualifications: Recognised tertiary qualifications in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering White Card Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar based role on a project of similar size and complexity Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, AutoCAD, and Aconex or similar electronic transmission systems Experience in the management of and flow down of the suite of tendering and Contracting Templates, especially FIDIC Experience in the management of subcontractors, ideally international E&M Subcontractors/ Suppliers and design consultants Ability to coordinate with the delivery and design teams The ability to guide and manage a team of subcontract administrators The ability to negotiate with, and influence, internal and external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit, whilst maintaining key relationships The ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences, is critical for this role Excellent risk analysis skills Process oriented Required Competencies: Sound interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Ability to work collaboratively Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure Flexible and adaptable Good organisational skills and able to pay attention to detail Advanced negotiation skills Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Oversee the commercial management of all E&M Subcontracts Ensure adherence to E&M contractual obligations though effective commercial management, including payments, variation and claims, warranties, cash flow, and flow down of contract amendments Lead subcontract progress payment claims, variations, contractual claims and final accounts in accordance with the terms of subcontracts Oversee the contract administration and change management, including providing assistance to the Head Contract management team as required Follow the internal process to execute any change managements. Manage the Contractual correspondence in an effective manner with coordination of the E&M Team/ Management/ Client. Proactively manage the performance of E&M suppliers, maintaining effective working relationships Identify and manage supplier risks and opportunities, including those of the supplier's supply chains Lead, manage and develop team members to deliver the required capability Generate and manage the Lifecycle Management procurement and subcontract management plans Analyse financial and costs reports, identifying existing or potential variances/trends, providing recommendations as appropriate for agreement with the Department Ensure the Department keep accurate and complete records and ensure the various document control registers are kept updated Implement the principles of dispute resolution and the mechanisms under relevant E&M subcontracts to resolve disputes and demonstrate strong dispute resolution skills Provide E&M subcontract reports and briefings to executive team Manage E&M subcontract input into monthly reports and programme updates The above listed accountabilities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.
