Role: We are seeking an experienced E&I Leading Hand to join our team, embedded within a major gas client in Chinchilla, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects and turnarounds on QGC plant and equipment in a dynamic environment.
Duration : 7 months (with potential for extension)
Roster : 2:2 rotation, 10-hour days
Responsibilities: Oversee and support electrical and instrumentation teams during maintenance, repairs, and project execution. Coordinate with the client's team to ensure compliance with safety standards and project timelines. Assist in preparing equipment and systems for upcoming projects and shutdowns/turnarounds. Supervise and ensure the correct installation, commissioning, and testing of E&I systems. Troubleshoot and resolve plant electrical and control system issues efficiently. Promote and uphold safe work practices in accordance with Shell and QGC site standards. Awareness of cost and time tracking. Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience as an E&I Leading Hand in gas or heavy industry projects. Strong knowledge of turnaround/shutdown practices on major gas infrastructure. Familiarity with QGC equipment, safety protocols, and permit systems. Ability to manage small teams, coordinate schedules, and liaise with stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and instrumentation. Current Electrical License and relevant site inductions are highly desirable.
