This role is temporary, full-time 76 hours per fortnight, contract ends February 2026. About this work area As E-commerce Operation Specialist (New Zealand Project), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Lead, plan and secure global and local initiatives for the E-commerce channel by securing a clear roadmap and delivery plan for setting up ecommerce in New Zealand including the IKEA website and the App. In collaboration with the project leader, deliver on details of the deployments required for a successful website and app launch into the New Zealand Market. Develop the online Commercial Calendar and ensure online priorities are aligned with and reflected in the Commercial Calendar for IKEA NZ and ways of working during the project and post-launch. Coordinate online activities pre and post website launch, primarily within the Commercial Team & Commercial Project Team, as well as across functions. Work closely with key stakeholders in and outside Commercial Team & Commercial Project Team to secure integration, common focus and maximise impact to drive E-commerce growth and business results. As E-commerce Operation Specialist (New Zealand Project):
Passionate about life at home and motivated to inspire and meet our New Zealand customers in the best way through an omnichannel retail landscape. Equipped with sound knowledge of activation, online customer behaviours and their needs to support commercial and service offers across all touch points. Experience in project management; planning, prioritising, working with tight timelines, deployments and problem solving. Able to apply a strategic outlook to identify opportunities, analyse insights and provide key recommendations to support deployment and growth within the E-commerce landscape and contribute to delivering business results. Able to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to drive and secure business objectives and goals in alignment with our growth agenda and work with stakeholders in different time zones as well. For this role you will be required to have the following experience: 3 years' experience in e-commerce and a solid understanding of different roles and responsibilities within e-commerce. Experience in project coordination and working with a wide range of stakeholders. Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills. The following experience is preferred, however not essential: Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
