A fulltime opportunity for a hard-working individual experienced in electronics to join Storm Bay as a DVP Technician.
About the role The DVP Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repairs of feed equipment, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while remaining flexible to tackle unforeseen challenges.
Reporting to the Fish Performance Manager, you will:
Support the research, development, and installation of new equipment and systems developed by Control Systems Engineers.Monitor and oversee feed equipment tracking processes, ensuring inventory undergoing repairs or testing and inventory available for immediate use is distinguished.Conduct regular audits of parts to maintain adequate stock levels for timely repairs, and engage with external stakeholders to evaluate future availability of equipment and components.Develop effective solutions to a variety of challenges, continuously improving setup methods based on lessons learned.This is a full-time role, operating on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.
About you Relevant Trade Certificate (mechanical or electrical) and/or demonstrated experience in a similar position.Proven experience working with IT equipment or electronic repairs with a solid understanding of circuit theory.Competency in handling 12-volt systems and electronic equipment.Effective verbal and written communication with confidence in your problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty, and remain calm while working in a changing environment.Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.Benefits of joining Huon As part of the Huon family, you will receive:
