Job description:Duty Shift Manager - Aviation SecurityYour new role
Based at Adelaide Airport, the Duty Shift Manager is a crucial role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of Certis Security's screening services.
Overseeing a large and diverse workforce across multiple screening points, the role helps to drive safe and efficient outcomes for all visitors to the airport and helps realise Certis' vision to make the world safer, smarter, better.
This position is being advertised on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract basis and will require shift work, with the successful candidate working a rotating 24/7 roster.
What you'll be doingSupported by a team of Supervisors and Team Leaders, in the DSM role you'll find yourself:
Ensuring efficient and compliant operations of multiple security screening points including passenger, goods, and airside.Utilising your operational know-how to make adjustments and solve challenges that arise during the day.Providing leadership to our Aviation Screening Officers, including acting as an escalation point for any concerns or performance management.Liaising closely with key stakeholders both internally and externally to provide updates, reports and insights.About youYou're an experienced leader who knows how to strike the fine balance between driving exceptional results in a frontline operation, whilst not becoming too bogged down in the details, entrusting and empowering your team to manage the nitty gritty.
You know how to get the best out of people, even when things aren't going right, and can use your problem-solving skills to address challenges on the fly.
You are an astute communicator, both written and verbal, and have a strength for building strong collaborative relationships with the most demanding of internal and external stakeholders.
Importantly, you have a proven track record of delivering outcomes, which is enabled by your strong work ethic and task focus and can still deliver these outcomes even when the goalposts shift.
It is a condition of employment that you must have the ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), which will be provided by Certis Security.
In addition, you must be able to commit to full availability across a 24/7 roster.
This does mean that you will require a valid driver's license (full or provisional) and a reliable vehicle, as public transport does not run to the airport 24/7.
