About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Duty Manager to join the team at Sage Wollongong. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you'll lead the Front Desk team, ensuring smooth operations and an outstanding guest experience. You'll be part of a service-driven team, responsible for creating welcoming and seamless stays, making every guest feel at home.
Position Responsibilities Assist in the day-to-day management of the Front Desk, supporting and guiding the team Welcome guests warmly on arrival and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process Oversee hotel operations in the absence of Senior Management Handle and resolve guest concerns professionally and confidently Train and develop team members for future growth within the company Respond to guest requests, provide recommendations, and upsell rooms and services Answer all calls promptly, offering friendly and helpful assistance Maintain an updated Manager on Duty (MOD) log for each shift Check rooms and ensure special requests are fulfilled as needed Act as the Chief Fire Warden and First Aid Officer, handling emergencies with a calm demeanor Support night operations, including system rollovers Foster positive cross-departmental relationships and assist other teams when necessary Skills & Experience Proven ability to create memorable guest experiences with genuine connections Minimum 2 years' experience in Front Office within a 4/5-star hotel Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail Professional grooming and presentation Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and problem-solve effectively Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays Experience with a hotel property management system Current First Aid Certificate and RSA Qualification In Return, We Offer: Career advancement opportunities within Pro-invest Group Food, beverage, and accommodation discounts across Pro-invest Group A complimentary Familiarization Stay Employee referral incentive program Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and commitment to a positive staff culture We thank all applicants for their interest in this role.
