We would love to hear from you! We are seeking two passionate, Full-time Duty Managers, for both Ainslie Football & Social Club and our Gungahlin Lakes Golf and Community Club venues. We are looking for someone with proven staff management experience in a fast paced customer service environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be required to manage the day-to-day operations of the venue.
WHAT'S THE POSITION? Duty Managers are representatives of Management and are responsible for the daily operations of the venue through the provisions of high service standards and supervision of staff. The Duty Manager is expected to be highly visible within all service areas of the club, leading the team by example and ensuring close and direct contact with members and guests whilst maintaining a consistently high standard of customer service in all departments.

Here's the technical side: Supervise and direct staff in operational areas, ensuring a high standard of service to customersProvide a high level of customer service and manage any customer grievances or disputesVerify all cash floats balance at the opening and close of businessEnsure all poker machine service, ticket out refills, and payout requests are attended to promptly with associated documentation according to club policy and legal requirementsAssist in poker machine clearances and with associated documentation according to club policy and legal requirementsReport any complaints, accidents, or incidents to Senior ManagementReport any poker machine faults, cleaning, repairs and maintenance or Work Health and Safety and Fire & Emergency proceduresAdhere to Work Health & Safety and Fire & Emergency proceduresInspect all areas of the club (including toilets) on a regular basisCheck staff rosters daily and amend rosters as necessaryObserve the overall conduct and appearance of staffVerify all staff day sheetsSpot check floats, tills, and stock as directedEnsure arrangements regarding club entertainment/functions are completed and correctEnsure the security of the premises at all timesCheck the front-of-house displays and signage to ensure consistency in branding and adequate signage for all promotional eventsEnsure that labour percentage targets are consistently metTake care with personal presentation to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearanceOther reasonable duties as directedWHO ARE YOU? You have a minimum of2+yearsexperience in a management role within the hospitality industryDiploma in Hospitality or working towards – advantageousRSA, RCG, and Gaming proficiency – advantageousA team player; who has the ability to lead and motivate a team to gain a high level of employee engagement, creating a positive cultureYou have the ability to communicate and present expressively and clearlyA vibrant and energetic individual who has a focus on the needs of customersSomeone with an advanced knowledge of food and beverage that knows how to provide a high standard of serviceWIIFM?
